Family Service/Parent Advocate Specialist
for the Garrett County Community Action Committee Head Start/Early Head Start Program. Applicant must be able to develop services and resources for Head Start families. Act as case manager for designated families. Recruit and enroll children. Plans, implements, and monitors parent activities. Must have excellent time management organizational and computer skills. Must be able to relate to and communicate with young parents and children. Must be able to work on a team and to work some evening hours if necessary. Writing skills are a must. Applicant must pass a pre-employment physical and a criminal background check. Will be required to pass a TB test. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a vehicle available for work.
Must have an AA degree in a related field and one year related experience, or 30 college credits in a human service field and four years related experience; or 40 college credits and two years experience in a Head Start program. Full-time position with benefits.
