Provide instructional and behavioral support to the Day Care Manager and Senior Staff on duty. Assists in the daily activities of the children in the program. Implements and supervises activities (under the direct supervision of staff on duty) for a group of children in the program. May be assigned to work at multiple locations. Must possess a current physical and PPD (tine test). Must possess a current negative background check through Maryland State Police. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a vehicle for work, or transportation to the work site. Must be at least 16 years old. Must be CPR and First Aid certified. |

Classroom SubstitutesApplicant must be able to plan and implement center programs in accordance with day care regulations and requirements; assist in managing total center operations; prepare daily instructions, planning and follow up activities; and maintain student and family confidentiality. Must maintain accurate daily attendance records and monthly center reports and perform other duties as assigned by the center teacher. Applicant must be 21 years of age. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have the completed the 99-hour child care course with experience working with preschool age children and/or completion of the 45 hour Infant and Toddler class. An AA or BA/BS is preferred but not required. Successful Applicants must complete a pre-employment physical exam, possess a valid driver’s license, pass a TB screening, have First Aid/CPR Certification and obtain a state/federal criminal background check. |

Works under direct supervision of the trained Head Start Teacher. Provide instructional and behavioral support to the Head Start and Board of Education staff within the classroom. Assist in preparation and carry through with individual behavior management programs on a one-to-one basis with designated students. Assist in implementing the IEP’s developed by the Board of Education. Must pass a pre-employment physical and do so every two years thereafter. Must pass a criminal background check by Maryland State Police. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a vehicle available for work. Must have an annual TB test. Must be at least 21 years of age. |
