Home Repair Loan Program
Programs designed to assist low income homeowners to maintain their homes in a safe, healthy, and affordable condition by offering low interest rate loans based upon affordability. Up to 30 participants assisted each year. Contact Deb Swiger at:

GWCResident

Group Workcamps Program
Touches the hearts and lives of Garrett County homeowners who are elderly, disabled, and/or low income. Group Workcamp may assist with painting or building wheelchair ramps, steps, porches, and handrails. Up to 65 to 80 participants assisted every other year. Contact Brenda Roszell at:

Servant Event Program

Weatherization Program - (WAP)
The Weatherization Program is designed to reduce home heating cost and make homes more comfortable and energy efficient. Weatherization services are available to low income homeowners and renters. Up to 100 participants assisted each year. Contact Brenda Roszell at:

First Time Homeowner Program
Empowering families with limited resources to obtain their first home by offering counseling, training, and down payment assistance through partnerships with local banks and USDA RuralHousing Serivce. Up to 65 participants assisted each year. Contact Deb Swiger at: (301) 334 - 9431 x 150

Asset Builders: Individual Development (IDA) Program
For every one dollar deposited in a personal savings account to be used toward a home purchase, college, trade school, or business start-up expenses, GCCAC will set aside two dollars to pay toward these expenses. Minimum period of one year of monthly saving. GCCAC maximum contribution of $2,000. Up to 15 participants assisted each year. Contact Cindy Lynch at: (301) 334 - 9431 x 108

Section 8 Tenant-based & Project Unit-based Assistance Program
Long-term rental leasing assistance based on income, family size, and other qualifying requirements. Up to 200 participants assisted each year. Contact Janie Nugent at:

Rose Terrace Transitional To Permanent Housing
Rooms for rent to assist families without housing in obtaining transitional and permanent housing. Up to 7 units are available for leasing.

Supportive Housing For Individuals with Disabilities
Rental Assistance and Support Services to homeless individuals with a diagnosed disability or mental illness. Up to 30 participants assisted each year. Contact Carrie Getson at:

Supportive Housing For Families
Family self sufficiency program, designed to assist a family from crisis to self sufficiency by providing counseling, financial assistance, job searching skills, and other social skills needed to become self reliant. Up to 30 participants assisted each year. Contact Ginger Clark at:

Emergency Loan Program
Evictions and utility shut-offs are avoided with low-interest loans. Up to 100 participants assisted each year. Contact Ginger Clark at:

Service Linked Housing
Advocacy Program

Programs designed to offer assistance to low income tenants to prevent crisis and aide them in applying for other community services. Help them work through issues that arise. Rental Allowance Program (RAP)
