Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc., Office of Home Energy Program (formerly know as Maryland Energy Assistance Program) will be at Grantsville Senior Center to take applications every Monday in September and October between 8:30 to12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. for anyone that hasn’t applied since July 1, 2009. Simon Pierce has selected the food resources program of Garrett County Community Action as the recipient of their Share the Light program this year. A portion of the proceeds from in-store and also online sales of the Charity piece which this year is the Barre Tealight will be donated to the food program. The Share the Light program begins November 24 and ends on December 24.
