Why should I share my story?

Behind every one of our programs and services we offer, there’s a story. Sharing your story demonstrates that there is help out there for those struggling in these difficult times, and more importantly hope for a bright future.

What will you do with my story?

We may use your story on our website or newsletter to show others in similar circumstances how our programs and services helped you and to provide hope to those who need it.

Will my name be used in the story?

You may share your story anonymously or so your name appears with your story; but all who share their story must sign a Share Your Story release form authorizing us to share your story with others.

How can I submit my story?

You can submit your story many different ways –

By regular mail to GC Community Action, Share Your Story, 104 E. Center Street, Oakland, MD 21550 (you can print and fill out this .pdf when mailing in your story).
