Garrett Transit Service (GTS) is the public transportation provider for Garrett County.  Our service is for everyone.  GTS provides transportation for head start, early head start, adult day care centers, dialysis, home meal delivery, after school programs, senior centers as well as for the general public. 

With gas prices hovering around the $3 per gallon range, everyone can benefit by riding GTS buses.  Our fares are very reasonable and all drivers hold a commercial drivers license and are trained in first aid and CPR. Our buses are equipped with wheel chair lifts and securement devices with all drivers being trained for the proper tie down procedure.   

Whatever the purpose of your trip, GTS is ready to transport you safely, and comfortably.  Call 24 hours in advance for local trips and 36 hours in advance for out of County trips.  You can schedule rides to the grocery store, doctor, hair dresser or anywhere you would like to go.  Just give us a call.

In FY 2009, GTS buses traveled 745,747 miles and transported 135,604 riders.  We are working hard to grow our ridership.  GTS operates 39 vehicles of which 13 are Head Start Buses, 4 are mini-vans, and 22 are transit buses.  Anyone interested in ridership can call GTS at 301-334-9431.
