Early Head Start Teacher - Content Specialist I or II
 
Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. is accepting applications for the position of Early Head Start Teacher/Content Specialist I or II (based on qualifications), within the Division of Child and Family Development
 
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and implementing early childhood educational activities for infant and/or toddler age children participating in the Early Head Start center base classroom. Duties include, but aren’t limited to, the implementation of curriculum, supervision of children, developmental assessments, monitoring child progress and maintaining communication with parents, co-workers and collaborative partners. There is an immediate opening in the Grantsville area, but applications will be used to fill vacancies throughout Garrett County for up to six months.
 
Qualifications requirements; Must have an Associate of Arts, a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with relevant coursework in Infant and Toddler Development or a Child Development Associate is preferred. The applicant should have at least one year teaching experience with infant and toddler age children.
 
The applicant must pass a criminal background check, possess a valid driver’s license and meet other pre-employment hiring criteria. This is a permanent /full-time position with benefits

Crisis Housing staff - Permanent Part Time (20 hours/week).
 
Garrett County Community Action, Service Coordination Department is seeking a Content Specialist III to be responsible for after-hours supervision of our Crisis Housing. Ability to work with limited supervision. Experience working with the general public in a fast paced atmosphere preferred.
 
AA degree in related field or High School diploma with three years related experience in field. Basic computer knowledge required. The position requires knowledge of local resources. Must have the ability to work closely with individuals and families and build rapport with a wide range and diversity of people.  Criminal background check is required. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Substitutes for Classroom, LunchAid/Cook, Bus Aid and Clerical – Content Support and Content Specialist III
 
Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. is accepting applications for substitute positions (Classroom, LunchAid/Cook, Bus Aid and Clerical - Content Support and Content Specialist III), within the Division of Child and Family Development
 
This position is responsible for working with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old in the classroom setting, preparing and serving family style meals to children and staff, safe transportation of children in an aid role to the bus driver and performing clerical duties. Substitutes are needed in all locations of the county with pay rates from $9.25 - $9.44 per hour based upon qualifications and position subbing in.
 
Minimum Qualifications include: HS Diploma or GED, must be 19 years old, completed or be willing to complete 99 clock hours in child development and the 45 hour Infant/Toddler Certification and/or the 45 hour School Age certification. One year of experience working with children a plus. Preference given to a candidate with an AA in Early Childhood Education plus experience.
 
The applicant must pass a criminal background check, possess a valid driver’s license and meet other pre-employment hiring criteria.
