Head Start Assistant Teacher Content Specialist III
 
Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. is accepting applications for the position of Head Start Assistant Teacher – Content Specialist III, within the Division of Child and Family Development
 
Applicant must be able to plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning activities for preschool age children enrolled in center base classroom. Basic duties include assisting the teacher in managing the classroom, student supervision, preparation of daily lesson plans and student supervision. Must also maintain accurate records, complete reports and perform other duties as assigned. The current opening is in Oakland, MD, but applications can be used for 6 months for positions throughout Garrett County.
Preferred Qualification requirements: An Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field with relevant coursework in Child Development or a Child Development Associate. The applicant should have at least one year experience working with preschool age children.
 
The applicant must pass a criminal background check, possess a valid driver’s license and meet other pre-employment hiring criteria. This is a permanent/full time position with benefits.

Head Start Teacher – Content Specialist I or II (based on qualifications)
 
Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. is accepting applications for the position of Head Start Teacher – Content Specialist I or II (based on qualifications) within the Division of Child and Family Development.
 
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and implementing early childhood educational activities for preschool age children participating in the Head Start center base classroom. Duties include, but aren’t limited to, the implementation of curriculum, supervision of children, developmental assessments, monitoring child progress and maintaining communication with parents, co-workers and collaborative partners.
 
Qualifications requirements; Must have an Associate of Arts, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with relevant coursework in Child Development or a Child Development Associate. The applicant should have at least one year teaching experience with preschool age children.

Wrap Around Child Care Aide – Content Support
 
Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. is accepting applications for the position of Wrap Around Child Care Aide – Content Support within the Division of Child and Family Development:
 
The Successful applicant will be responsible for providing child development activities, supervision and care services for children 6 weeks to 12 years old.
 
Minimum Qualifications include: HS Diploma or GED, must be 19 years old, completed or be willing to complete 99 clock hours in child development and the 45 hour Infant and Toddler certification or 45 hour School Age certification. One year of experience working with children a plus. Preference given to a candidate with an AA in Early Childhood Education plus experience.
 
The applicant must pass a criminal background check, possess a valid driver’s license and meet other pre-employment hiring criteria. This is a permanent /part-time position with benefits.

Substitutes for Classroom, LunchAid/Cook, Bus Aid and Clerical – Content Support and Content Specialist III
 
Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. is accepting applications for substitute positions (Classroom, LunchAid/Cook, Bus Aid and Clerical - Content Support and Content Specialist III), within the Division of Child and Family Development
 
This position is responsible for working with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old in the classroom setting, preparing and serving family style meals to children and staff, safe transportation of children in an aid role to the bus driver and performing clerical duties. Substitutes are needed in all locations of the county with pay rates from $9.25 - $9.44 per hour based upon qualifications and position subbing in.
